The Boxer 118 stand-on dedicated trencher offers a powerful 18 horsepower, air-cooled Kohler Command Pro gasoline engine with a chain speed of 280 feet per minute. The dirt cup tooth chain is made of high carbon steel with carbide tips and is complemented by a standard discharge auger. Combined, these attributes allow for a clean cut trench and consistent trenching speeds across a variety of soils to increase productivity. The 118 is available in either 24" or 36" lengths, both of which come equipped with 6" combo chain. This dedicated rubber track machine weighs 1,652 lbs and produces only 2.9 psi of ground pressure, thereby minimizing damage to existing lawns and landscapes. With a width of only 35 inches, the 118 is compact enough to maneuver and trench in tight areas. The 118's controls are ergonomically designed for maximum operator comfort and function, with a foot pedal and sort lever for easy trencher operation. The sort lever allows the operator to engage the trencher by hand. Once the trencher engages, the operator can then use the foot pedal to keep the trench chain rotating. The foot pedal allows the operator to focus on the machine's steering and power controls while trenching.
