High pressure centrifugal pumps are used on applications where higher pump heads or higher pressure is needed than can be obtained with standard trash pumps.  These gas or diesel engine driven pumps can produce heads up to 400 TDH (170 PSI) and are frequently used on applications that have large vertical heights, long runs or high discharge pressure requirements.
